About this time last year, I was only just starting to meet people from the community, since I had learned to use the computer and could read well enough then.

This was about the time I first started really talking to Grimmjow, too. First time he really noticed me.
[Which meant it was almost a year ago that he started taking those first few steps out of his shell - none too gently, but he can't be too bitter over everything (and he doesn't try to dwell on how soon it'll be the one-year mark or another incident, too). He smiles, eyes opening to Ichigo.]
Funny how things change. I was such a brat back then, I never would have guessed I'd ever find myself here in the living world, and with the guy who took on all of Soul Society.
